Currently, PyStudio certification is only offered through employers. PyStudio’s certification model is organized as a Predictive Analytics Academy under a cohort model.
Academy Structure
PyStudio’s Predictive Analytics Academy in partnership with a sponsoring employer provides analysts and leaders with the knowledge and skills to leverage predictive models within their organization to help solve business problems. PyStudio certification is taught using PyStudio and is included as part of the tuition. No prior experience or training in data science is required.
Academies are 6 months and are organized by monthly action-oriented themes which lead participants through a disciplined process that culminates with a capstone project of local value. Employers are encouraged to identify broad areas of strategic interest to the sponsoring organization.
Asynchronous modules are assigned each month leading up to a monthly live synchronous zoom session. In addition, weekly online office hours are provided to ensure participants receive personalized support throughout the process.
The following are the monthly action-oriented themes.
- Month 1 – The science and process of prediction
- Month 2 – Identify a predictive modeling opportunity
- Month 3 – Develop a training data set
- Month 4 – Train and validate a predictive model
- Month 5 – Deploy a predictive model
- Month 6 – Present completed project to sponsoring organization
Successful completion of the academy requires the completion of a small group prediction project within the participant’s organization. Participants that successfully complete the academy will receive a PyStudio certificate in Predictive Analytics.
Academies are administered as cohorts with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 participants per cohort.
